ABOUT
us!
Native SOAR (Student Outreach, Access and Resiliency) is a multigenerational sevice-learning mentoring program that equips undergraduate students at the University of Arizona (UA) to mentor local middle and high school students. Native SOAR was established in 2005 by Dr. Jenny Lee, Professor at the Center for the Study of Higher Education at the UA's College of Education, and Dr. Amanda Tachine, Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Indian Education at Arizona State University.

Native SOAR Campus Visit featuring the comedians, James and Ernie.

It's all about family.

We love integrating technology in the classroom!

At campus visits, we share with high school students how to prepare for college.

Arizona Board of Regents, LuAnn Leonard, the first Native American ABOR Regent, has inspired many of our Native SOAR mentors.

Kyle has served as a mentor and Student Coordinator for seven semesters. He's a stellar example of serving as a leader.
